Tryouts for the 2010/2011 season
Black Hawks Volleyball Club will be hosting tryouts for ages 12 thru 18 for the upcoming 2010 / 2011 Club Volleyball Season. Keep checking back for Opening Date
Black Hawks Volleyball Club will be hosting tryouts for ages 12 thru 18 for the upcoming 2010 / 2011 Club Volleyball Season.
We have listened to all of your requests during this past season’s tryouts and throughout the tournament season as we had a chance to speak with many parents and players. Out of those requests we have decided to return to fielding two teams in each age group and open our age groups to 12’s-17’s (two teams each) and 18’s (one team).
Through your huge response we are making it more possible for players to make one of our club teams.
Black Hawks Volleyball will be announcing our tryout dates as soon as they are announced through the North Texas Region. Please check back to our website periodically for updates and announcements. We will also be sending out emails each month to keep everyone posted on what is new within our club.
Tryouts typically begin for the youngest age groups in late October, early November.
Black Hawks Volleyball teams are always among the best in the region typically completing each season in the top 25 % in one of the most competitive Volleyball Regions in the country.
Our growth this coming season is being made possible with the addition of many outstanding coaches from the Region that will join Black Hawks Volleyball. Announcement of coaching staff will be made by mid-summer as they become free from current commitments and we are able to determine which age groups they will be working with.
When preparing for tryouts please check out our link called “Choosing a Club”. It has many links and advice for those new to the Club experience as well as for those with several seasons already behind them. Among other things you will need to determine which age group your daughter will be trying out for, begin assembling tryout packets, and registering through USAV North Texas Region Volleyball.
We have many easily accessible links within our “Resources” tab to help you find the information you may need when it comes to Tryouts. Our club will also be designing a Power Point Presentation for the North Texas Region Website to aid parents in the tryout process.
Please do not go in to register your daughter until after the 2010 / 2011 registration is open. We will announce on our website when that time arrives. If you register now you will be registering for a season that is concluding.

All four of these documents can be accessed and printed from our website. If you plan to attend any Skills Clinics, Tryouts, or participate in any manner with Black Hawks Volleyball Club you will need to print them and complete each line of information, sign and deliver to our Director. Once we have these documents on file you will not need to bring additional copies with you to Skills Clinics or tryouts. We will maintain them on file. At tryouts you will only need to bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and copy of “Paid” registration through North Texas Region Volleyball.
Age guidelines for the upcoming season are as follows:
11U Born on or after Sept 1, 1999
12U Born on or after Sept 1, 1998
13U Born on or after Sept 1, 1997
14U Born on or after Sept 1, 1996
15U Born on or after Sept 1, 1995
16U Born on or after Sept 1, 1994
17U Born on or after Sept 1, 1993
18U Born on or after Sept 1, 1992
The Season Dues for all teams / age groups through Black Hawks Volleyball Club will be the same and will be announced as the season nears. The items included in the season dues are as follows and includes:
Full Custom Uniform Package with: Full warm-up (jacket and pants), 2 jerseys, 2 spandex, 2 socks, and top of the line backpack. All practice court fees (teams have a minimum of 4 hours per week), coaching fees for Head coach and Assistant coach, entry into 8 tournaments including the Lone Star National Qualifier and the Regional Bid Tournament.
Season Dues do not include any travel. In the event a team would qualify that team would be responsible for the player’s travel, the Coach and Assistant Coach’s travel and the entry fee for that tournament.
Tryout fees will be the same as last season:
$30 for players returning from this season to try out for next season
$50 for new players
For all players preregistering and remitting payment prior to tryouts the fees will be reduced to $25 and $45.
