Black Hawks Volleyball Club Statement:
Black Hawks Volleyball Club strives to empower each player with the skills and knowledge to excel and reach their personal best in both the physical and mental aspects of the game of Volleyball. It is also our goal to instill self-confidence and teach good sportsmanship on and off the court.
About our Club:
The Black Hawks Volleyball Club was established during the 2005 / 2006 season with one 13U team. From our inaugural season in which our team finished the North Texas Region season ranked 11th out of over 100 teams, our athletes have put together a long list of Tournament Championship Victories, 6 of 10 the first season and the success has continued on, now taking us into the 2008 / 2009 season.
Black Hawks Volleyball Club is based in North Plano. All of our practice facilities are near the Spring Creek and Independence area. Our club teams practice at least twice weekly for 2 hours each. Our teams will typically participate in 9 to 10 tournaments per season including National Qualifiers.
We are a small club with a projected 2008-2009 season of 5 teams, (1) 12U, (2) 13U, and (2) 14U. By remaining small we are able to focus more of our attention on the individual athlete. We take great pride in the development of our players and the dedication and respect they reciprocate to their coaches and teammates. Many of our players have entered our club with little to no experience and finish the season competing head to head with the top teams in our region.
Our selfless coaching staff spends hundreds of hours per season working with our athletes, devoting their time and resources for the sheer passion of the sport. Our coaches€™ only payment is the reward they receive from seeing their team succeed.
Black Hawks Volleyball Club has primarily been a regional club with limited travel. We believe that the North Texas Region is one of the strongest in USA Volleyball and teams within the top 10 of each age group provide plenty of competition without financially burdening families with undue travel expense. Our club members come from a wide range of family incomes but our club is structured so that many of the expenses are removed to allow for most any athlete to try out for and participate in our organization.
Although our club has maintained limited travel we have also grown to the level of competing for National Bids in each of our age groups. For the 2008-2009 season we will be seeking athletes with that same goal in mind.
