Each Season BlackHawks Volleyball invests into additional training equipment that will enhance our athletes’ ability to advance their training more quickly. We plan to have most, if not all of our training equipment moved and set up at our new facility, The Volleyball Institute of Plano by October and ready for use during our Pre-Tryout Clinics and Boot Camps.

If you are a front row player you have got to train with this piece of equipment !!

If you are a defensive player you are going to love this machine. We have had this piece of equipment in use for the past season but have not been able to fully explore its benefits due to limited court size. This season we will utilize it extensively. This piece of equipment will serve balls as lightly as quick sets or up to Top Collegiate Women’s hitting speeds of 70 mph. Used to effectively teach DS’s or the Libero to dig balls hit at age appropriate speed from all attack angles and to teach blockers the proper touch for many different hits. Teaching Serve/Receive with back spin, top spin, or floaters. Great for teaching Setters to dig balls out of the net, this piece of equipment is a rapid skill developer for all aspects of the game. This is a Volleyball Target great for teaching Setters to hit specific positions and for DS’s or the Libero to control their passes to specific targets. Teaches focus as apposed to just motion. This piece of equipment coming to our gym soon.
We use this training aid extensively to teach block coverage. It reproduces a very realistic deadening of the ball after a block and teaches the players to defend a block that may develop after their teams attack. Great for enhancing defensive players reaction time.
This piece of equipment is used to measure the athletes Vertical Jumps. Used at tryouts to measure athletes standing reach and vertical we will incorporate this tool in with our Plyo Conditioning training as a motivator for athletes to improve their vertical jumps.

Among the many pieces of Conditioning and Plyo Training equipment that we employ are Plyo jump boxes, Banana Steps for quick feet and reflexes, Resistance bands for Vertical Conditioning, Jump Ropes, Lateral steps for quick defensive movements, and many more.
Here are a few examples of what we will be utilizing in our conditioning training.
